Nakworks designs spaces - in a practice that moves through contexts of art and design.
An interdisciplinary design studio, we make objects, installations and, occasionally, games.
Our work is grounded in severe forms, the strong presence of materials and a heightened sense of craft. We seek a monastic sense of simplicity and a tight relationship with context.
Nakworks collaborates with architects, artists, choreographers and other designers who work with space.
Together with game designer Eric Zimmerman, Nakworks has designed playable installations in Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Moscow, Los Angeles and MoMA in New York City.
As an artist consultant, Nakworks has supervised the installation of large-scale artworks in Australia, Brazil, Japan (Yokohama Triennale of Art), Italy (Florence Biennale) and the UK (Royal Academy of London).
Nakworks Principal Nathalie Pozzi has taught classes and workshops at Berlin University of the Arts, University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Zurich University of the Arts and Parsons The New School.
She holds a Master of Architecture cum Laude from the University IUAV of Venice and studied at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and at Helsinki University of Technology.
Nathalie Pozzi is an Italian-licensed architect, registered at the "Ordine degli Architetti, Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Regione Autonoma Valle d'Aosta".
Nakworks is a New York State limited liability company (LLC).
