CENTRAL PARK · NYC
Nathalie Pozzi
This apartment faces Central Park on Fifth Avenue, at the height of the trees.
The design focused on a home that is easy to live in, with light, views and comfort at the center. Rather than a complete renovation, a series of micro interventions was planned to improve the proportions of the spaces and the layout of the apartment, keeping the changes small and precise.

Instead of purchasing new furniture, existing pieces were reconfigured and given a more contemporary context through color and pattern.
Chairs were reupholstered, and new carpets were introduced to ground the rooms and bring texture and warmth. Antique pieces, with their dark wood and rich details, now sit beside soft textiles in green, red and cream, creating a quiet dialogue between old and new.
The result is a calm and layered interior. Tones are softened, interventions are minimal, and the park remains the main character, changing with the seasons through every window.
Accessibility guided each decision. Circulation is improved, spaces are easy to move through, and every piece of furniture is placed so the home works smoothly in daily life.
